In March 2002, I was contacted by a managing director of a start-up multimedia company based in Northern Ireland. He offered me to design a website for a restaurant and develop a multimedia CD-ROM for a place called Craigavon.
I didn't remember who he was, but at some point, my business card landed in his hand while I was in Brussels. So the first few months were spent working on projects with this company offsite.
Then I was sponsored to check out Northern Ireland for myself and to meet some clients while I was there. I brought my sister with me, hoping that we could have a short vacation. It turned out that I had to work every day and she had to go sightseeing by herself.
I was offered a position as a creative director that required moving to Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland to work onsite. At first, I didn't want to take the job because it was a start-up company. After much thinking, I decided to accept it.
