The year was 1999 and I was completing my last semester. I couldn't wait to
graduate that fall.
I went ahead and enrolled to study Digital Media Design in
the International Academy of Design (and Technology), a school now partnered with
The Toronto Film School (according to their website). My first class didn't start
until mid-October that year. So, right after I received my Math Degree, I entered
a new and exciting journey into the multimedia world.
The program was an intense 9-month curriculum divided into 3 semesters. The learning
curve was pretty steep. It required my full dedication especially with the final
projects. I thoroughly enjoyed my classes and learned techniques straight from
industry gurus in 3-D, Flash, Director, sound and video editing, interface design
and web design. The program was technical and creative at the same time. It was nice
to exercise both sides of my brain for a change!
